Evan Rachel Wood
Evan Rachel Wood was conceived in
Raleigh, North Carolina on September 7th 1987. Her father, Ira David Wood III
(a theatre actor, writer, director) is her father. Sara Wood Wood is her mother
and actress. She is the daughter of Dana Wood, a musician and Ira David Wood
III, an actor. Evan as well as her brothers appeared in the Theatre In The
Park, Raleigh in the same place where her father serves as the director. She
was just five when she auditioned for the role in Interview with the Vampire:
The Vampire Chronicles (1994). Along with her mom and brother Ira the family
moved to Los Angeles in 1996. Since her arrival, she has had successes in TV
series and movies on television, as well as feature films. She was a star in
Practical Magic (1998) in the role of Al Pacino's daughter. The comedic
S1m0ne(2002) was followed by Thirteen (2003) with Holly Hunter. Her breakout
performance as Tracy on "Thirteen" earned her an Golden Globes
nomination and a Screen Actors Guild Award nomination. She was the first
actress nominated for the Leading Role award at the time. The role she played
in the role of Veda Pierce in the HBO mini-series Mildred, Pierce (2011) earned
her an Emmy nomination as well as the Golden Globe award. Acclaim was also
given to her role as Stephanie (Mickey Rourke’s ex-wife) in Darren
Aronofsky’s The Wrestler (2008). Sara Wood and Ira David Wood III are her
parents. Ira David Wood III's younger sister. Dancer. She is a fan of singing,
swimming, rollerblade, and go back on horses. She is a black belt at tae do.
She is in contact with many of her Once and Again (1999 castmates: Mischa
Barrton, Julia Whelan and Shane West.
