Zachary Knight Galifianakis, a North Carolina native, was born on the 1st of October 1969 in Wilkesboro. The actor is the father of Mary Frances (nee Cashion), and Harry Galifianakis, a heating oil dealer. His mother is Scottish-Irish and English descent, and his paternal grandparents are Greek immigrants from Crete. He was baptized according to the Greek Orthodox faith of his father.
