Lil Tecca

Tyler-Justin Anthony Sharpe was born on August 26 the 26th of August, 2002. He is also known as Lil Tecca. He gained mainstream recognition after the release of his single from 2019 "Ransom" that had a peak at number 4 on the Billboard Hot 100. The track was released on his mixtape debut We Love You Tecca (2019) which peaked at number 4 on the US Billboard 200. It also contained singles Love Me and Did It Again. The album he released as his debut studio album"Virgo World" (2020) debuted at #10 on the Billboard 200 and included the Billboard Hot 100's top-charting tracks "Dolly" as well as "When You Down". The mixtape that he followed up with We Love You Tecca 2 was released in August 2021. It included the songs "Repeat It", "Lot of Me" and others. Tyler-Justin Anthony Sharpe was born on the 26th of August, 2002, in the Queens neighborhood of New York City to Jamaican immigrants. He was raised in the Springfield Gardens a neighborhood of Queens however, he later moved to Cedarhurst in Long Island. Since his early years, Sharpe had aspirations of being in the NBA, but around the age of 12 Sharpe began to turn his attention toward pursuing a career path in music. He completed his studies at Lawrence High School. Tecca, nine years old at the time, was rapping along with his classmates with his Xbox to record. They would make diss tracks directed towards each other that was posted to SoundCloud years ago, but has since been removed. At the beginning, he did not have plans to begin music and instead wanted to be an NBA superstar. However, during his middle school years he resigned himself to basketball and began to consider taking the music seriously. The first track that gained some attention, "Tectri", was created by him and his friend, Lil Gummybear, and came out in early 2017. Tecca also dropped "Callin" as one of his early tracks. Tecca's career exploded a year later when he released the smash single "Ransom", which was uploaded to Cole Bennett's Lyrical Lemonade YouTube channel on May 22, 2019. The track ranked 4 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. It has received more than 900 million Spotify listeners and more than 300 million YouTube views.
